In this workshop, the presenters (one of whom is autistic) will discuss characteristics of autism beyond DSM5 that clinicians should consider when working with autistic individuals (e.g., autistic learning styles, sensory profiles). Implications for treatment will be discussed, with a focus on incorporating the client’s neurotype into case conceptualization and treatment planning.
